The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Streaming Videos will equip your students with lifesaving knowledge. Inside the BLS Streaming Videos, you’ll find instructional and practical videos from professionals in the medical field. The AHA BLS videos teach the foundation of skills such as:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Relieving airway obstructions
- Working as a team
What Modules Do the Streaming Videos Cover?
The Streaming Videos are divided into three folders. The first folder contains the BLS instructor led training, which has 2.5 hours of content. The second and third BLS folders have the HeartCode and Renewal courses with a run time a little less than 2 hours.
What Other Products Do You Recommend?
The AHA also offers the same videos for purchase in a streaming format. The BLS DVD Set offers the same content without the worry of needing internet connection. To use the AHA BLS Course Videos you will also need the AHA BLS Instructor Manual.
What year is the most current AHA curriculum?
The AHA 2020 Basic Life Support (BLS) Streaming Videos fit the new standards set by the American Heart Association. Every five years the ECC updates standards and guidelines for CPR and First Aid. Any older training videos or curriculum such as the 2015, or 2010 guidelines have been retired and should no longer be used. In 2025, the ECC will release new guidelines and the AHA may choose to update curriculum then as well.
How to Access the Streaming Videos
Upon purchase, an access code will be sent to you by email. For orders placed on weekdays between 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM CST, the access will be emailed within 24 hours. However, if placed on a Friday after 5:00 PM, the access code will arrive via email on the first business day.
Using the access code, instructors can stream and download the courses to a personal computer or laptop with an internet connection. Video’s may only be used by one person at a time, so if your Training Site is teaching multiple classes at a time it may be necessary to purchase multiple access codes.
